Having spent the majority of my career working for large corporate entities, I have seen at first hand the frustrations of slow moving bureaucratic dinosaurs misserving their clients and wasting money on ill-conceived initiatives.
I thought I could do a better job without the unnecessary internal politics getting in the way of true business success.
I sat down with a close friend one evening and wrote out my â€œbucket listâ€ of things I wanted to do before I die. In amongst all of the travel to interesting and exotic places was written, in my own handwriting, â€œStart my own businessâ€.
Where did that come from?
The more I thought about it, the more I realized I REALLY wanted to be my own boss, to set my own working schedule, to be in control of my own destiny and to form a company that matched my own core values of honesty, integrity, loyalty, commitment and trust.
I was determined not to go to the grave thinking â€œWhat ifâ€¦.â€
Of course it is only natural to have self-doubts;
